TFS HealthScience is excited to be expanding our Functional Service Department team and we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Associate Director, Clinical Data Management (AD, CDM) who shares our vision of providing clinical research excellence. TFS HealthScience is looking for a Associate Director, Clinical Data Management (AD, CDM) hybrid in Raleigh, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an exisiting Manager or Sr. Manager looking for the next step in their career. We look forward to receiving your application!
The Associate Director, Data Management is part of the Functional Service Department and supports the Director, Head of Functional Service in managing the Data Management department and will work according to company policies, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of data management deliverables
- Responsible for overseeing data management portfolio for client-partners.
- Oversight of Principal Data Managers, Clinical Programmers, Informaticists
- Support the Director in budget cost and income, planning, monthly follow-up, annual follow-up
- Ensure staff are fully utilized and meeting utilization targets
- Preparation of proposals, follow-up, negotiation and preparation of contracts
- Coordinate the receipt and processing of information for projects (coding dictionaries, format libraries, and transfer of database specs) as well as electronic data received.
- Direct and oversee project-specific initiation and orientation, as necessary, particularly through facilitation of effective kick-off meeting and participation in investigator meetings.
- Ensure that global procedures such as Standard Operating Procedures are available, up to date and compliant with appropriate guidelines and legislation such as ICH, GCP and EU/US Directives
- Upgrade the existing systems to ensure data entry, data cleaning, and query processing systems are timely and efficient
- Ensure the completion of all quality-control measures necessary for the finalization and transfer of data and related materials to the client
- May identify critical project tasks/issues and recommend courses of action to expedite the project objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in life science or nursing; or equivalent education or lower education e.g. Associate Degree
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including 6 years of relevant data management experience
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and staff supervision
- Ability to serve in a leadership role
- Ability to deal effectively with sponsors and internal customers at all levels
- Willingness and ability to travel on occasion
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
