Marcia joined TFS in June 2019 and serves as Vice President, Head of Ophthalmology, where she supports the project delivery of all ophthalmology programs. She leverages her expertise in ophthalmology clinical development to guide a global team of ophthalmology experts—including physicians and clinical specialists—in delivering full-service clinical development programs and services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers.
Marcia brings more than 23 years of optometry and ophthalmology experience to TFS, including 22 years of experience in clinical research. She previously held clinical positions in project management and at the director and executive levels. Marcia has experience owning an SMO and ophthalmology pharmaceutical consulting company and has also directed research for an extensive multi-specialty ophthalmology practice and surgery center. In this role, she spearheaded the development of the research department, which supported seven locations for phase II thru IV studies. She is also a certified ophthalmic technician in diagnostic testing, contact lens fitting, and surgical assisting duties.
