Dr. Syed Owais Wasti serves as Senior Medical Director within the Internal Medicine & Neuroscience division at TFS. Based in New Jersey, USA, he provides strategic medical leadership across neurology, psychiatry, and internal medicine clinical development programs. His role centers on ensuring scientific rigor, patient safety, and operational efficiency throughout all phases of clinical trials.
At TFS, Dr. Wasti leads global medical monitoring initiatives and plays a pivotal role in therapeutic training and indication expertise. He is especially recognized for his contributions to rater training and endpoint reliability in neuroscience and psychiatry trials, where data integrity is critical. By aligning scientific protocol with clinical feasibility, he supports sponsors in designing and executing trials that are both impactful and efficient. Prior to joining TFS, Dr. Wasti held senior leadership roles including Medical Director at Green Valley Pharmaceuticals and Vice President of Clinical Research at the Neurocognitive & Behavioral Institute. He also served as a Clinical Research Subinvestigator at Rivus Wellness & Research Institute. Across these roles, he directed global medical monitoring efforts, implemented department-wide SOPs, led cross-functional teams, and developed robust rater training programs, driving operational excellence and high-quality outcomes across diverse therapeutic areas.
Dr. Wasti earned his Doctor of Medicine from Dow University of Health Sciences and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of New England. He is also certified by the ECFMG. His academic contributions include a published meta-analysis on the safety and immunogenicity of the ID93 + GLA-SE vaccine. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Wasti enjoys traveling, collecting coins, and building model cars, interests that reflect his precision, curiosity, and creative thinking.
