Markus Granlund became Chief Executive Officer of TFS HealthScience in February 2025, arriving with a clear vision and more than a decade spent running an international business. Before TFS, Markus was President and CEO of Semcon for 13 years, leading the company’s international operations and growth.
Markus brought a fresh vision and mission to TFS, shaping the company’s talent around its core therapeutic areas: dermatology, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology and ophthalmology. The aim is depth over breadth, so our clients can bring complex programmes to a team that already knows the regulatory landscape, the trial design challenges and the patient population. That same expertise runs across both of the ways we work with clients: full clinical development services and strategic resourcing solutions that place specialists directly into a client’s own team.
Outside his executive roles, Markus has stayed close to the workings of Swedish business and governance. He sits on the board of Alecta, and at Svenska Mässan he serves on both the Nomination Committee and the Advisory Council. His earlier work includes board roles at Knightec, Almega, Svenskt Näringsliv and Speed Group, and a term as Chairman of the Board at the Federation of Swedish Innovation Companies (Innovationsföretagen).
