Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA)

An Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) is a request for the approval of a generic drug in the United States. The application must demonstrate that the generic product is bioequivalent to the brand-name drug in terms of dosage form, strength, route of administration, quality, performance characteristics, and intended use.
