A JAK inhibitor is a type of medication that blocks the activity of Janus kinase (JAK) enzymes, which play a role in the signaling pathways involved in inflammation and immune responses. JAK inhibitors are used to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and certain types of cancer.
