Liquid Biopsy

Back to Glossary

Liquid Biopsy

A liquid biopsy is a non-invasive diagnostic test that detects cancer-related biomarkers in body fluids, such as blood or urine. It can identify circulating tumor cells (CTCs), cell-free DNA (cfDNA), and other molecular markers. Liquid biopsies are used for early cancer detection, monitoring treatment response, and identifying genetic mutations.
