Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a condition characterized by the accumulation of fat in the liver in individuals who consume little or no alcohol. It can progress to more severe liver conditions, such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), fibrosis, and cirrhosis. Risk factors include obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. Management focuses on lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise.
