Back to Glossary

Occlusive Arterial Disease (OAD)

Occlusive arterial disease (OAD) refers to the narrowing or blockage of arteries, usually due to atherosclerosis, which restricts blood flow to various parts of the body. It can lead to conditions such as peripheral artery disease (PAD), coronary artery disease (CAD), and stroke. Treatment includes lifestyle changes, medications, and surgical interventions to restore blood flow.
