Stable Angina

Back to Glossary

Stable Angina

Stable angina is a type of chest pain or discomfort that occurs predictably with physical exertion or stress and is relieved by rest or medication. It is caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle due to narrowed coronary arteries. Treatment includes lifestyle changes, medications, and sometimes procedures such as angioplasty or coronary artery bypass surgery.
