LUND, SWEDEN, September 7, 2026 – TFS HealthScience (TFS) has been awarded a Gold Medal in its 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment. The Contract Research Organization (CRO) scored 84 out of 100, a 14-point jump from last year’s score of 70. That places TFS in the 97th percentile, among the top 3% of every company EcoVadis rates worldwide.
“This result shows how central sustainability has become to how we operate. It shapes the decisions we make, the risks we manage and the value we build for our sponsors.”
Markus Granlund, Chief Executive Officer
Since its previous assessment, TFS improved across all four EcoVadis themes: Environment (+17 points), Labour and Human Rights (+16), Ethics (+13) and Sustainable Procurement (+8). The gains came from years of work: stronger governance, updated policies, deeper supplier checks and closer stakeholder engagement. Sustainability now factors into how TFS makes decisions and manages risk, not just how it reports.
“Sustainability is a team effort. Progress like this comes from everyone understanding how their everyday decisions add up. Close collaboration, stronger foundations, and a drive for continuous improvement got us here, and this result reflects that work.”
Nicole Bezuidenhout, Sustainability and Communications Manager
The Gold Medal builds on a year of measurable progress across TFS’s environmental, social and governance programme, detailed in the company’s ninth annual Sustainability Report. Below are a few environmental highlights:
SBTi
Near-term and net-zero targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative
−17%
Total emissions down against 2024

Renewable electricity sourcing, up from 62%

For sponsors, the EcoVadis Gold Medal is independent recognition of how TFS operates. It also lines up with the ESG priorities of parent company Ratos AB: transparency, risk management and long-term value creation.
