LUND, S.E., April 2, 2025 – TFS HealthScience (TFS), a leading global Contract Research Organization (CRO), announces continued advancement in its sustainability journey, marked by a strengthened assessment from CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project. While maintaining an overall score of ‘C,’ TFS achieved elevated scores in several core categories for the first time—highlighting its commitment to transparency, environmental stewardship, and responsible clinical development.

CDP is a global nonprofit that operates the world’s largest environmental disclosure platform, assessing organizations on their strategies to manage and mitigate climate-related risks. A ‘C’ score reflects environmental awareness and action, while “Management” level scores indicate deeper integration of sustainability within a company’s operations and decision-making frameworks.

In its latest CDP assessment, TFS achieved “Management” level scoring across several categories, including public policy engagement and industry collaboration, energy, Scope 3 emissions, environmental policies and opportunity disclosure, and value chain engagement. This represents a notable shift, with 44% of TFS’s total scoring now at the “Management” level — marking the first time the company has reached this level of maturity in its environmental reporting.

“These improvements are a direct reflection of the dedication of our teams across the globe, who consistently bring purpose and accountability to our environmental goals,” said Patrik Darsund, Chief People Officer at TFS. “Our latest CDP results highlight TFS’s momentum in sustainability and climate action, reinforcing our commitment to responsible business practices and the well-being of people and our planet.”

TFS continues to focus on enhancing emissions verification, risk disclosure, data transparency, and Scope 3 emissions tracking—essential components of credible sustainability leadership. The company is well underway in establishing science-based emissions reduction targets through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and is deepening supplier collaboration and internal reporting tools to better align with client expectations and regulatory evolution.

“As environmental responsibility becomes increasingly central to healthcare innovation, TFS is committed to advancing sustainability across our global value chain,” said Markus Granlund, CEO of TFS. “This progress strengthens how we support our partners, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to a more resilient healthcare ecosystem—ensuring we continue to empower our partners and enrich lives through responsible clinical research.”

This progress reflects TFS’s alignment with evolving ESG standards but also reinforces its long-standing dedication to innovation, transparency, and operational excellence—laying the groundwork for continued leadership in sustainable, ethical clinical research.
