1997

Pioneered Europe's first Functional Service Provider (FSP) model, setting the benchmark for flexible clinical resourcing.

2001

Expanded cross-border operations, establishing our first international hub in Copenhagen, Denmark.

2003

Partnered with Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden, to launch Phase I First-in-Human studies and specialized PET imaging.

2004

Launched TFS Academy to deliver specialized clinical research education across the industry.

2005

Acquired CDC Clinical Data Care to strengthen regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and medical writing services, expanding into Spain and opening our UK hub in Uxbridge.

2007

Expanded into Asia-Pacific, establishing our first regional office in Tokyo, Japan.

2008

Acquired the Netherlands’ first CRO, IMRO-TRAMARKO, to expand across Benelux and Germany, while launching our first US hub in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

2012

Acquired Italy’s first established CRO, Dimensione Ricerca S.r.l., and expanded our European footprint with a new hub in Paris, France.

2013

Acquired US-based oncology and vaccine niche CRO, Beardsworth Consulting Group, and a Swedish EDC solution from SEMCON, while expanding operations into Germany.

2014

Expanded North American footprint, launching clinical operations in Canada.

2015

Partnered with Swedish investment firm Ratos AB, which acquired a 60% majority stake to fuel our global growth.

2016

Acquired dermatology specialist CRO SCIderm to expand operations in Germany, while receiving the Omnicom Innovation Award for our proprietary Protocol Deviation module.

2017

Awarded the Top Job Seal, recognizing our specialized Dermatology team for workplace excellence and culture.

2018

Integrated Citeline clinical intelligence to strengthen data-driven strategic planning and trial feasibility.

2019

Transitioned to full ownership under Ratos AB while expanding clinical tech capabilities through Medidata Rave EDC accreditation.

2020

Partnered with Veeva to implement safety database solutions and with Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) to deliver portfolio-wide data management.

2023

Acquired Swiss CRO Appletree CI Group to deepen expertise in ophthalmology and medical devices, while expanding operations into Israel (GCP Clinical Studies) and opening a new office in Lisbon, Portugal.
